He was predeceased by: his parents, Young Gilstrap and Bertie Lee Gilstrap; his son Terry Gilstrap; his brothers, Kenneth Gilstrap and James Gilstrap; and his stepsons, Randy Hunter and Jeffrey Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Allene Gilstrap of Gainesville; his son Tim; his daughter-in-law Paula Gilstrap of McDonough; his daughter Angela (Stan Ledbetter); his stepchildren, Michelle (Matthew Pritchett) of Gainesville, Kimberley (Ramiro Diaz) of Dawsonville, Sandra (Ernesto Mendoza) of Jefferson and Michael Murphy of Gainesville; his grandchildren, Zach Ledbetter (Charlotte), Hannah Ledbetter and Phillip Gilstrap; and his great grandchild Hailey Gilstrap. He is also survived by 27 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Memorial Park (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504).
