He was predeceased by: his parents, Justina Medero and Julian Betancourt. He is survived by: his significant other Wendy Elizabeth Castro Aguirre; his siblings, Willermina and Judy; his children, Francisco, Gricelia and Stephanie; his children-in-law, Debbie, Kevin and Jeffrey; and his grandchildren, Krystal, Nicholas, Matthew, Feli, Christopher, Claire, Mark and Jeffrey. He is also survived by extended family, many friends.
