In the vast expanse of eternity, Franklin shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Franklin farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Garfield Powers and Evelyn Gravitt Powers; and his wife Paula Day Powers. He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Ryan Posten (Leslie) of Dawsonville, Mathew Clay Powers (Eden) of Gillsville and Megan Belton (Jeremiah) of Maysville; his stepsons, Justin Green (Harlee) of Clarksville and Josh Green (Amber) of Gainesville; and his brother Michael Powers (Tracy) of Gainesville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Memorial Park (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504).
