James Arvin Turk Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Arvin Turk of Gainesville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lex Everett and Mary Blanche Duncan Turk; his sisters, Marie Thompson of Oakwood, Betty Anglin of Gainesville and Polly Sanders of Jefferson; and his siblings-in-law, G. W. Chandler, Frank Chandler (Merle), Jessie Mae Margavich (Walter), Nettie Chandler and Margaret Abernathy (Doug).
He is survived by: his wife Jenny "Florence" Turk; his son Ken; his daughter-in-law Judy Turk; his daughter Rebecca "Becky" Turk; his granddaughter Kendyl; his grandchildren-in-law, Brice Burke and Brooke Turk; his great grandchildren, Carter Burke, Colton and Blaire; and his siblings-in-law, William "Bill" and Linda Chandler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home (355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
