John Michael Turner Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Michael Turner of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilma Hemphill Turner and Edward Benjamin Turner; and his grandparents, Ray, Victoria Hemphill, Bertie and Arthur McKinstry.

He is survived by: his friends, Tommy West, Tim West, Darryl Smallwood, Scotty Buffington, Doug Bennett, David Chester, Rudy Allen, Stanley Sewell and Jerry Ward; his children, Tiffany Carmichael (Drew) of Gainesville and Michael (Anna) of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Nolan, Aiden, Charley Carmichael and Graham; his sons, Colin and Liam Turner; his siblings, Judi Turner of Nashville, TN and Ben of Dade City, FL; Carol (Jim) and Clemson. He is also survived by cousins, and his band of brothers- his many lifelong friends.
