He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilford Reed and Rosa Holland Reed; and his son Mitchell Wallace. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Whitlow Reed; his daughters, Jessica Davis (John) and Miranda Lipford (Brad); and his grandchildren, Sherri Hunsinger (Nick), Kelli Blalock, Johnathan Blalock, Vin Davis and Harleigh Davis.
In addition to his career, Loy also made significant contributions to his community beyond the bus driver's seat.
