He is survived by: his wife Betty Shoemake of Gainesville; his children, Betty Ray of Gainesville, Susan Watson of Gainesville and James Wade of Gainesville; and his brother-in-law Terry Miller of Gainesville. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
