We are sad to announce that on July 1, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Penelope Wright of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Chicago, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Penelope had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Penelope may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ferdinand Shafer and Rita Velmar Shafer (Schaetzle). She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth "Liz" Ward (Bill) and Walden "Bill" Wright (Elizabeth); her granddaughters, Kate Ward, Amie Ward, Ella Wright and Emily Wright; and her sister Judy Williams (Reddoch). She is also survived by 3 nieces and 3 great-nephews and 1 great niece.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Episcopal Church (422 Brenau Ave NE, Gainesville, GA 30501).
