The memory of Ray W Lathem Jr. of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on April 10, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the vast expanse of eternity, Ray shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ray farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Lathem Sr. and Alice Lathem. He is survived by: his wife Carol; and his children, Debbie Williams (Randy Williams), Elizabeth Stone, Ray Lathem III and Shawn Timberlake. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Southern Cremations and Funerals Columbarium (1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta, GA 30064). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
