He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney James Burden and Mattie Jane Bobo; and his siblings, Vivian Hull, Margie Clowe, Owen Burden and James Burden (Jack).
He is survived by: his daughters, Hailey Merritt (Scott) and Julie Burden; his grandchildren, Madelyne, Elyse and Flora Beth Merritt; his brother Jerry Burden; his siblings-in-law, John Clowe, Dale Burden (Schuck) and Frances Burden (Givens); and the mother of his children Sandra Burden Keith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great friends.
