It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susie Smith Cook (Gainesville, Georgia), who passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Smith (Jim) and Bertha Lou Gilstrap Smith; her daughter Sharon Cook Spiva; and her sisters, Jimmie Lou Smith Jones and Judy Nell Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Larry Benjamin Cook (Benny) of Cleveland; her daughters, Stacy Bennett (Tony) of Flowery Branch and Shannon Vandiver (David) of Cleveland; her grandchildren, Crystal Dearing, Jessica Haynes (Jake), Benji Bennett (Mary), Tonya Hester (Seth), Tristan Spiva, Shalyn Vandiver and Shaylie Vandiver; her great grandchildren, Chase Mize, Jayden Hoopaugh, Konnor Haynes, Skylar Haynes, Skylan Dearing, Dallas Dearing, Braitley Dearing, Emma Haynes, Maverick Dearing, London Hester and Bennett Hester; her aunt Jessie Hanes of Cleveland; and her close friend Donna Graham of Flowery Branch.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association located at 41 Perimeter Center E #550, Atlanta, Ga 30346.
