He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Mize and Lucille Mize (Seagraves); and his son Christopher Alan Mize. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Mize (Stephens); his sons, Matthew Mize (Tuesday) and Michael Mize (Natalie); his grandchildren, Emily Hunter, Bryce Mize, Asher Mize, Bishop Slater, Raiden Mize, Matthew Mize Jr. and Myles Slater; his great grandchild Elizabeth Jean Mize; his siblings, Mary Ellen Brown, Louise Helton (Doug), Richard Mize (Betty), Laura Rider (Robert) and Ross Mize (Cheryl); and his siblings-in-law, Judith Pace, Lynn Matuska (Jim), Cyndi Stephens, Dennis Stephens (Jenny) and John Stephens (Michelle).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Memorial Park (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504).
