She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Brilke and Esther Brilke. She is survived by: her husband Eugene H. Welsch; her sons, Steven L. Welsch (Sheilah) and Gary A. Welsch (Bridget); her daughter-in-law Vicky Welsch; her grandchildren, Brian Welsch, Lainey Kennedy, Cade Welsch and Ivey Welsch; her siblings, Fred Brilke, Dorothy Julian and Juanita Brilke; her former husband John V. Powell; and her son John W. Welsch. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the McGill-Scarbrough Chapel, Lanier Village Estates, Gainesville (4000 Village View Dr, Gainesville, GA 30506).
