He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Abernathy and Roberta Abernathy; and his brother Roger Abernathy. He is survived by: his wife Tina Abernathy; his children, Blake Abernathy (Natasha), Matthew Abernathy (Carrie), Megan Seabolt (Justin) and Bryan Norrell (Sonja); and his grandchildren, Addison Hulsey, Lexi Hulsey, Carter Reynolds, Blakely Abernathy, Wyatt Abernathy, Emma Abernathy, Madilyn Abernathy, Kolten Norrell and Ashlyn Housman.
