He was predeceased by: his parents, Bynum Parson and Ora Dean Emmett Parson; and his siblings, Kathleen Brock, Otis, Sam, Charles, Dairl, Herman, Roy and Howard Parson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Nix Parson; his children, James Bougher, Deana Hart and Tammie Coleman; and his brother Steve Parson. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
