He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Axell and Vera Matson (Herrick). He is survived by: his wife Abby McKinnon (Flowery Branch); his children, Ann Marie (Eric Babb) and Matthew (Shannon Matson); his grandchildren, Tanner Babb and Brynna Matson; and his sister Dianne (Ross Foro).
