With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joann Hammond (Garfield, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 11, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Aycock and Exie Aycock. She is survived by: her children, Shanda Rushing (Stephen), Stephen Hammond (Angela) and Timothy Hammond; her grandchildren, Brett Rushing (Ashley), Alana Gartin (Austin), Brianna Migliara (Lorenzo), David Hammond and Rachel Hammond; and her siblings, Jesse "J. M." Aycock, Bobby Aycock (Diana) and Deborah Fish (Ken).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Joann's memory to her beloved home church, Branch Church, 5062 Hwy 25 South, Garfield, Georgia 30425.
