She was predeceased by: her parents, Brackston Gilbert and Minnie Craven Gilbert; her former husband Julian Taunton; her son Horace Taunton (Vickie); and her stepdaughters, Jean Goepp (John) and Becky Boggs (Brady).
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Barry Thompson, Bonnie Beavers (Red), Beth Mills, John and Bridget Roberson (Mickey); her siblings, William Brackston "Billy" Gilbert (Jeanne), Charlotte Courtoy (Larry), Fay Mewborn (Tommy), Mary Cook (Glen) and Susan Linnenkohl (Gerald); and her grandchildren, Michelle Goepp, Tonya Taunton, Jason Boggs (Jennifer) and Daniel Boggs (Vanessa). She is also survived by Numerous Great Grandchildren and Great, Great Grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
