It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmie Chalker Walden of Gibson, Georgia, who passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Lamar Chalker; her husband Lewis Abbott Walden; and her sisters, Mary Lou Chalker, Dorothy Thigpen and Virginia Chalker.
She is survived by: her children, Cyndi M. Wren (Barry) of Louisville and Jeff W. McGahee (Julie) of Gibson; her grandchildren, Justin McGahee (Ashlee), Quinton McGahee (Elizabeth), Caleb McGahee (Kaylie), Steven Brooks and Bailey Wren (Tori); her great grandchildren, Sawyer, Tristan and Mallory; her siblings, Betty Shelton of Wrens and Walter L. Chalker of Millen; and her sister-in-law Gloria W. Hawkins of Gibson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday evening April 15, at the Funeral Home The family requests, in lieu of flowers, those desiring please make memorial contributions to: Bethel Church of Glascock County, 4560 Shelton Road Gibson, GA 30810 Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Gibson is in charge of arrangements.
