With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Hill of Glenn, Georgia, born in Valley, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 20, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barbara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfus Alexander "Jack" Gullatt and Margie Ruth Gullatt. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Marie Gordon; her grandsons, Johnny Wallace and Austin Wallace; and her brother Michael Gullatt.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home (3700 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel (3700 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854).
In lieu of flowers and to honor Barbara's life, the family encourages donations to Loveless Dog and Horse Rescue, that was responsible for rehoming Barbara's horses when she first got sick, or simply sing a favorite hymn, plant a flower, or take a peaceful ride in the countryside and think of her.
