He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Nelson and Luna Bell Johnson Nelson; and his wife Wanda Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Roger Eric Nelson, Sr. (Melissa) and Sheila Nelson Brinkley (Joey) of Welcome, NC.; his brother Johnny Nelson (Nancy) of Centre, AL; his sister-in-law Linda Nelson Pennington of Centre, AL.; his grandchildren, Amanda Tapler (Chris), Matthew Brinkley (Brooke), Roger Nelson (Anmarie), Erica Filkins (Brandon), Josh Nelson (Erica) and Brian Nelson; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Harrison, Josie Brinkley, Tyler, Jordan Tapler, Hudson Nelson, Chloe Nelson, Gavin, Bryleigh, Aydan, Kayden, Easton and Bailor Filkins; and his great great grandchild Thomas Tapler.
