He is survived by: his wife May Cox; his children, Dimishe Cox (Fulton), Joni Cox, Marissa Thomas (Dale), Roy Cox, Shariya Pryor and CJ Bacon; his siblings, Sandra McBride, Samantha Hall (Wayne) and Jet Cox (Josie); his siblings-in-law, Lula Smith, Lottie Brown (Ray), Shirley Childers, Carolyn Davis, Carol Pryor and Donnell Davis (Leah); his grandchildren, Christopher Cummings, Porshia Cummings, Gabreal Cummings, Kendajah Manor, Abigeal Cummings, Ethan Porter, Khloe Thomas, Addison Smith, Ida Pearl Wynn, Josie Mae Mincey, Lamar Lavant and Angela Roberts; his goddaughters, Shameka Hatcher and Cassandra Henry; and his close friend Larry Ryhmes. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
