She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas E. Spurgeon; her daughter Vivian Leavens; her parents, Mary Buck Leslie and David Melvin Leslie; and her siblings, Ronald Leslie, Darrel Leslie, David Leslie and Jerrilieu Leslie Mattis (Judy).
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Spurgeon, Audrey Delphia, Leslie Altman and Vanessa Thompson. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carter Funeral Home (308 W Oglethorpe Hwy, Hinesville, GA 31313). A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 1:00 PM.
