She is survived by: her stepdaughter Susan Driggers (Simmie, Jr.); her grandchildren, Simmie Driggers III (Melanie) and Cortney Lockley (Myles); her great grandchildren, Henry and Adley; her sibling's children, Amy Alberdi (Mikel), Shelli Rey (Henry), Laurie Key (Stewart), Dale Stubbs (Kristine) and Dave Stubbs (Michelle); her caregiver Diane Lee (Herman); and her cousin Ricky Kicklighter (Debbie).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ellen's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Glennville, GA.
