He is survived by: his wife Barbara Thomas-Cooper; his daughter Kimberly Cooper of Brooklyn, NY; his stepchildren, Felicia Harris of Glennville, GA and David Thomas of Glennville, GA.; his godson Dennis Aikens of Savannah, GA; his siblings-in-law, Marie Cooper of Savannah, GA, Ananias Thomas (Edna Pearl), Charles Thomas (Harriette) of Ludowici, GA, Dale Thomas (Linda) of Glennville, GA, Landers Alphanzo Thomas (Linda) of Lawrenceville, GA, Ricky Thomas (Stephanie) of Glennville, GA and James Brewton of Claxton, GA; his stepgrandchildren, Tramaine Rogers (Zykerriah) of Statesboro, GA, Travarus Rogers of Glennville, GA and Trevon Rogers of Columbia, SC.; and his cousin Ollie Mae Ferrell of Ridgeland, SC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ruben King Sr. Memorial Chapel of King and Sons Funeral Home (5236 US-301, Glennville, GA 30427). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the First African Baptist Church (600 Church Dr, Glennville, GA 30427). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Greater Historical Elem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery (1991 Cecil Nobles Hwy, Ludowici, GA 31316).
