He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford and Myrtle Boyette Cox; his wife Maxine Lewis Cox; his sister Marie Cox Folker; and his granddaughter Kennedy Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Schroeder (Keith) of Hinesville, Georgia, Mike Cox (Lisa) of Sylvania and Wendy Clark (Robert) of Fleming; his siblings, Martha Jo Durrence, Sue Johnson, Jimmy Cox (Cindy), Jerry Cox (Jan) and Jack Cox (Cindy); his grandchildren, Tyler, Kathryn, John Davis, Rebecca, Robert and Jenna; and his great grandchildren, Ava, John and Ana. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews.
