He was predeceased by: his parents, Morgan Powell and Mary Bacon Powell; his brother Jimmie Powell; and his grandchild Skyler Dasher. He is survived by: his wife Elvie Powell of Glennville; his children, Lisa Duffany (Kenny) of Glennville, Dewayne Powell (Tammy) of Glennville, Nancy Durden (Justin) of Dublin and Gina Gordy (Jason) of Sylvania; his sibling Jean Powell of Sylvania; and his sister-in-law Kathy Collins of Glennville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
