He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Stewart Norman and Louise Moody Norman. He is survived by: his children, Joey and Angel; his wife Joyce Lewis Norman of Claxton; his children, Joseph Elbert Norman, Jr. and Angela Norman Hethcox (Chad); and his grandchildren, Blake Norman, Noah Hallman, Sarah Hethcox, Joseph Norman and Julia Hethcox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
