He was predeceased by: his wife Mary B. Wright; his children, Kenny Wright and Karen Lawhorne; and his siblings, Mary Alice Jones, Willie Wright and Aaron Wright.

He is survived by: his children, Wendy W. Fedrick, Wanda Wright, Lynette W. Armstrong, Patrick Wright (Tammy), Kerria Daniel and Lady Wright; and his siblings, Betty Moore, Jewell Allen, Josie Williams, Walter Wright, Jr. (Shirley), Jerome Wright, Joe Wright (Shirley) and James Wright. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
