It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherman Devon Wright (Glennville, Georgia), born in Ludowici, Georgia, who passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Maggie D. Wright; and his wife Judith Ann. He is survived by: his children, Ben Earl, Judith "Skeeter" Wright, Laurinda "Michelle" Wright, Shontel Wright and Art Wright; his grandchildren, Latoya Green, Terri Bracey, Kajsa "Kay" Durant, Germaine Scott, Kqumane Grant, Daniel Durant, Joseph "Jerall" Durant, Jacob "Jerold" Durant and J'Aleel Braggs; and his siblings, Suzette Jordan (Herbert), Regina Williams, Sarah Nesbitt, Thomas "TJ" Nesbitt (Betty), James "Ulysses" Nesbitt and Alvin Nesbitt.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the King & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Service (5236 US-301, Glennville, GA 30427). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church (1061 Macedonia Rd, Ludowici, GA 31316). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
