We are sad to announce that on April 26, 2024, at the age of 82, William Richard Blanton of Glennville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, David Jasper Blanton and Eva Mae Stanfield Blanton; his wife Mary Ann Blanton; and his siblings, Nadine Waters, Mildred Rayborn, Ben Blanton and Jody Blanton.

He is survived by : his children, Teresa McCullough (Glenn) of Macon, Vickie Kersey (Danny) of Glennville, Joyce Flowers (Kent) of Glennville and William R. Blanton, Jr. of Richmond Hill, Georgia; his grandchildren, Susan Jarriel (Kelly) of Macon, Marie Carter (Chris) of Cobbtown, Crystal Griffin (David) of Glennville, Justin Flowers (Tori) of Glennville, GeorgiaSisters, Judy Blanton of Glennville and Georgia Virgina Blanton of Jesup, Georgia; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Mixon (Dianne) of Lyons. He is also survived by Eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (2989 Oak Grove Rd, Glennville, GA 30427).
