He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Cleveland Sapp and Martha Jane Peacock Sapp. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sapp of Gordon, Georgia; his children, Jerry C. Sapp Jr. (Kat), Sonya Song (Eric) and Jason Sapp (Kelly); his grandchildren, J. C. Sapp III, Courtney Song-Crump, Corey Song, Cody Song, Chayton Song, Chayne Song, Bethany Griffin and Brandon Sapp; and his siblings, Stevie Sapp (Bonnie) of Cochran, Georgia, Janice Smith (Charles) of Cochran, Georgia. and Barbara Yeomans (Billy) of Cochran, Georgia.. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel (307 Pecan Ln, Gray, GA 31032).
