She was predeceased by: her parents, Elam Mixon and Havis Smallwood Mixon; her sister Carolyn Corley; and her stepsiblings, Ruth Roach and Carl Taylor.

She is survived by: her children, Randy Veal of Madison, Marcia Beck (Mike) of Gordon and Beth Langford (Wayne) of Irwinton; her stepbrother Flavil Taylor of Gordon; her grandchildren, Kyle Swicord (Emily), Jalen Beck (Trey), Peyton Beck and Michael Langford; her great grandchildren, Austin Langford, Chance Langford, Tinsley Swicord, Brystol Beck and Tuxsyn Beck; and her great great grandchild Tate Langford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
