He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Daniel Brooks and Minnie Jewell Fountain Brooks; his wife Vivian Comer Brooks; his son Dwaine Jay Brooks; and his brother Joe Ray Brooks.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karla Brown (Ronald) of Gordon and Kema Brewer (Gary) of Hazelhurst; and his sister Deborah Molton of Ivey. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to White Springs Baptist Church or to the Shepherd Center.
