Sanders (Sheryl), Connie Briscoe Ray and Jonathan Simmons (Patricia Scott); his grandchildren, Jimika Briscoe, Courtney Briscoe, Chesly Shinholster, Charis Shinholster, Jonathan Simmons Jr., Natalie Tinson and Jeremiah Simmons; his siblings, Johnny Sanders (Virginia), Vernon Sanders (Linda), Roger Sanders (Ann), Edward Veal (Wonsonretta), Major Veal (Tonie), Allen Veal (Mary), Leo Veal Jr., Charles Veal, Leroy Veal (Kim), Dorothy Whipple (Reginal), Diane Brown (Columbus), Rose Wilcher (Derrick), Lula Davis, Lenora Ashley (Willie), Essie Carswell, Shirley Shy, Queen Veal and Gladys Veal; and his sister-in-law Ellistine Sanders. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, loving nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, church family and friends.
