He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Edward Grimes, Sr. and Peggy Minton Grimes; his close friend Danny Thigpen; and his brother-in-law Lynn Quick. He is survived by: his children, Jason Edward Grimes (Mollie) and Jennifer Brown; his grandchildren, Nathan Chapman (Helen), Brandon Chapman (Roni), Trevor Grimes, Alicia Brown, Piper Grimes and Harper Grimes; his great grandchild Hanson Chapman; and his siblings, Linda Quick, Mollie Cameron (Luke) and Wesley Grimes (Rebecca). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
