She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Stafford and Josephine Frances Hamilton Sheffield; and her husband Col. Robert George Buckey. She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Berry (Steve) of St. Augustine, FL and Suzanne Johnson (Jeff) of Gray; her stepson Stephen Buckey; her grandchildren, Eli Reinhardt of St. Augustine and Ella Johnson of Gray; and her siblings, Linda Sheffield Rice, Jo Frances Conneley and Herbert Stafford Sheffield, Jr..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bradley Baptist Church, 821 Monticello Hwy, Gray, GA 31032.
