He is survived by: his siblings, Carl Stephen Smith of Birmingham, Sam Smith (Virginia) of Guyton, Georgia, Lisa Evins (Gary) of Pensacola and Susan Smith of South Carolina; and his siblings' children, John Smith, Katherine Ward (Robert), Sarah Blankenship, Michelle Evins, Jody Bellflower, Jay Bellflower and Joanna Paszek.
