He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Peavy and Orie Lee Peavy; and his siblings, Arthur Peavy, Jr., Jack Lee Peavy, Doris Gibson and Doodle Trawick.

He is survived by : his wife Diane Arrington Peavy; his children, Paul Peavy, Jason Cowan (Amy) and Lisa Lenars (Pete); his grandchildren, Nikki (Frank) and Cody; his great grandchildren, Brayden and Brantley; and his siblings, Bobby Peavy (Nita), Sally Wynn and Eddie Peavy (Gayle). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
