He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Virginia Mathis and Elizabeth M. Keaney (Tim); his nieces, Layla Shepherd and Erin Prowett (Sunny); his nephew Shane Keaney (Katherine); and his great-nephews, Walker, Will and Joe Mathis.
