She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas and Beulah Morris Walker; her husband JJ Fernandez; and her brothers, Howard, Raiford and Raymond Walker.
She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Walston (Scott); her grandchildren, Daniel and Anna-Kathryn (Anthony); her daughter Nicole Lyles (Jason); her grandchildren, Hannah, Chloe and Jamie Fernandez (Lindsay); her great grandchildren, Isabel, Pax, Jack and Sofia; and her brother Preston Walker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gray Memorial Chapel (4378 Gray Hwy, Gray, GA 31032). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In Joyce's memory the family ask, in lieu of flowers, that you make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
