She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Ivey and Laura Ruth Bender Tanner; her husband Ricky Gentry Gordy; her siblings, Gaynell Rutha Hedgepeth, Patricia Ann Peacock, Tim Tanner and Jim Parrish; and her sister-in-law Arlene Parrish.

She is survived by : her daughter Lisa Waldrop (Clay); her grandson Andy Waldrop (Claudia); her great grandchildren, Cruise Waldrop (Meredith), Matt Waldrop, Genesis Waldrop, Danissa Waldrop and Teddy Waldrop; her great great grandchild Sage Waldrop; and her siblings, Rick Tanner (Sherry) and Shirley Parker (Bruce). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gray Memorial Chapel (4378 Gray Hwy, Gray, GA 31032). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at the Cedar Ridge Cemetery (111 Old Hwy 18, Gray, GA 31032).
