With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marvin D Mathis (Gray, Georgia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parent Bobbie Lee Cranford Mathis of Bleckley County, Georgia.; and his siblings, James Calvin Mathis and Shirley Jeanne Evans. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; and his children, Maria Lana Johnston (David), Brandi Barfield (Stephen), Rhonda Palmer (John), Amy Sims (Joey), Toby Lane Mathis and Darren Hayes (Calynn). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Marvin asks that donations be made to the Benevolence Fund at Central Baptist Church PO Box 187 Gray, Ga. 31032.
