The family announces the passing of Robert Luther Sanderlin Sr. of Gray, Georgia on September 19, 2026. Robert, born on December 20, 1938, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Vinson Sanderlin and Mildred Christine McDermid; his grandchild Morgan Christine Reynolds; and his brother Jimmy Baxter. He is survived by: his children, Robert "Bobby" Sanderlin, Jr. (Melissa) and Michelle Rodriguez (Roger); his grandchildren, Katelyn "Katie" Hartley (Lee), Ryan Rodriguez, Tyler Roberts (Shana), Miranda Scales (Will), Taylor Roberts, Mason Reynolds, Tiffany Josey (Josh), Trey Sanderlin and Rayna Rodriguez; and his siblings, Joe Sanderlin (Mimi), Jackie Aiken (Chris), George Baxter (Debbie) and Christie Traughber (Charlie). He is also survived by eight nephews and nieces along with fifteen great-nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel (307 Pecan Ln, Gray, GA 31032). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2617 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061).
