He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Adkins; his sister Eleanor Tanner; his children, Tonya Payne (Thomas) and Ronnie Adkins Jr.; his grandchildren, Stephen Payne (Sara) and Stephanie Payne; and his great grandchild McKinley Payne. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
