We are sad to announce that, on April 6, 2026, at the age of 93, Gilbert R. Lovell of Grayson, Georgia, born in Abbeville, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Gilbert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gilbert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Justilian Wallace Lovell and Rosita Bourque Lovell; and his siblings, Bill Lovell and Audrey Lovell Guidry. He is survived by: his wife Florence Dale Jenkins Lovell; his daughters, Janey Lovell Wilcox (Mike), Laura Lovell (Scott Keith) and Eleanor Lovell (Steve Metzler); his nieces, Claire Lovell Repp, Leslie Lovell Brightwell and Amy Lovell; and his nephew Paul Parks. He is also survived by his family, friends.
