We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2025, at the age of 86, Lydia Gardner Rau of Grayson, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Lydia Gardner find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gardner Basye and Nannie Shaw Basye. She is survived by: her daughters, Robyn of Grayson, GA and Susan Bleza of Munster, IN.; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexandria, Brendan and Samantha; and her pet Maddie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grayson United Methodist Church (555 Grayson Pkwy, Grayson, GA 30017). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
