He was predeceased by : his wife Gladys Virginia Thames Timmons; his parents, Noble Sylvester Timmons and Sallie Barron Timmons; his son William Timmons; and his sister Sara Cathy.

He is survived by : his children, Sharron Erskine (Dennis) of Atlanta, GA and Arlan Boggs of Los Angeles, CA; and his granddaughter Hadley Boggs of Los Angeles, CA..

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bullock Funeral Home & Crematorium (1190 Wilson Hall Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
