He is survived by: his wife Kay Whitley Dail; his son David Lee Dail (Bridget) of Buckhead, Georgia; his grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Dail (Ted) of Enfield, England and Austin Perry Dail of Charlotte; and his siblings, Ray Dail (Ann) of Snow Hill, Ann Priest (Gilbert) of Kinston, Mary Clark of Farmville, Joyce Avery of Snow Hill and Lois Watson of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
