In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Claire leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Claire may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marjorie Irene Syring Elliott and Boykin Smith Elliott Jr.; and her sister Ann Bennett. She is survived by: her husband Johnny Ruffin of Yatesville; her siblings, Kay Jacks of Greensboro and Kin Elliott of Gray; and her children, Richard Koon (Sharon) of Tallahassee, Rita Walker of Dublin, Georgia and Melinda Chesser (Tracy) of Greensboro. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews and many good friends.
